Registration and Payment for January Term Courses

Registration and Payment Procedures

Third- and fourth-year students may register for January Term beginning 8:00 a.m. on November 15.  all other students may begin registration at 8:00 a.m. November 16.  Registration will be completed through the Student Information System (SIS).

Students may register for only one January Term course.

For information on add/drop, withdrawal, and transcripts, see Academic Policies.

Students who register for a January Term non study abroad course pay by the credit hour. January Term courses are generally three-credit courses. Current UVa students are not charged an additional activity fee. Visiting students will pay an activity fee for January Term as listed below.

Students must have completed the FAFSA and University Financial Aid Application and must be enrolled in a January Term class to receive financial aid. Financial aid will not be posted until after course registration.

Students whose financial aid for January Term does not cover the entire cost of their January Term course must pay the balance by December 3, 2012.
