Electronic Journals Hosted by the UVA Library

Cosponsored by the UVA Library (which also publishes them), the UVA Jewish Studies Program, and The Society for Scriptural Reasoning, Inc. the following web-journals and websites provide an international forum for the study of Abrahamic religions more broadly, and Judaism more specifically. Nurtured at UVA and taught as subject of graduate and undergraduate studies, Scriptural Reasoning (SR) names an approach to scripture and interpretation and to dialogue among the three Abrahamic traditions. Participants in SR gather in small fellowships for regular study and dialogue. As of 2008, there are 16 such fellowships internationally, including fellowships at Cambridge University, Creighton U., and UVA. Some are gatherings of scholars, some of students, some of congregants and some, for example in London, are fellowships designed for use in local schools and prisons.
