The University of Virginia's Leadership Development Center (LDC) serves UVa's academic and administrative community in helping you and your staff in:

Fall and Winter 2008 Sessions
Registration open August 1 for both
Join us for this four-day leadership development experience designed to assist employees serving in administrative support or service roles. Participants will engage in a series of topic-specific learning sessions led by a team of experienced organizational development professionals. Sessions are designed to incorporate a high degree of experiential learning through exercises that expand understanding, skill, and professional competencies. Content is geared toward the practical, real world issues facing employees in higher education, and specifically those working for UVa.

Process Simplification Workshop
June 11th & 17th
Join us for an introduction to process improvement through business process redesign principles, methodology, and tools; this approach is customer-driven, data-intensive, and results-oriented. The course will provide administrators and staff an opportunity to learn the methodology from the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) for process improvement as well as an overview of project management techniques associated with the Project Management Institute (www.pmi.org). Performance improvements may include increased customer satisfaction, cost savings, streamlined processes, workflow mapping, and increased quality of services.
