Hours of Service
Mailroom
University Mail Services operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, excluding most holidays. (Holiday schedule below.)
In order to provide you with efficient, effective and economical service, we deal with various private-mailing services. This allows us to identify specific services, which can best meet your individual needs. UMS does not accept FedEx, Airborne, or UPS, etc. shipments nor do we deliver their packaging.
USPS (United States Postal Service) Contract Station
The USPS Contract Station is located in Newcomb Hall as part of University Mail Services. The hours are below:
- Customer Service Window — Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (4:00 pm - 5:00 pm no sale transactions, package pick up only), excluding most holidays. (Holiday schedule below.)
- Lobby with mailbox access — Monday through Saturday from 7:30 am - midnight, Sunday from 9 am - midnight, or the same hours as Newcomb Hall.
The contract station offers the following services:
- Sale of Postage Stamps
- Sale of Money Orders
- Certified, Insured and Express Mail
- Rental of Mail Boxes
- International Mail
- Mailing of 1st and 3rd class mail
- Receipt of FedEx, UPS etc. (Students Only)
- The USPS Contract Station is a separate entity and is independent from the University. All purchases must be paid using either cash, check, or Cavalier Advantage.
Stamp Window McKim Hall
The Stamp Window — McKim Hall is part of University Mail Services. The Stamp Window operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 am - 3:00 pm, excluding most holidays. (Holiday schedule below.) The Stamp Window is closed for lunch from 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm.
The Stamp Window offers the following services:
- Sale of Postage Stamps
- Certified, Insured and Express Mail
- Mailing of 1st and 3rd class mail, and Packages under 16 oz.
- IDT Transactions for Postage and Stamps
- International Mail
