Buses will load near the entrance of the Student
Activities Building and will stop on McCormick Road
near the University Chapel.

For
guests parked at U-Hall and the John Paul Jones Arena, buses will load near the west entrance of
University Hall and will stop on McCormick
Road near the University Chapel.

After
the Exercises, buses will run on a continuous loop from the
University Chapel to the following areas:

Parking
Tips: Following the parking tips below
will allow you to be closer to your vehicle at the
end of the diploma ceremonies on Sunday, May
18.
| Central
Grounds Diploma Ceremonies Parking |
Persons
attending diploma ceremonies on Central Grounds
(e.g., Brooks Hall, Cabell Hall, Fayerweather Hall,
Jefferson Hall, The Lawn,
Memorial Gym, Newcomb Hall, Pavilion
Gardens, the Rotunda, Special Collections Library,
University Chapel, and Wilson Hall) can park in the
Emmet/Ivy parking garage. Complimentary parking will
be available but no bus service is provided.
It is only a 10 minute walk to the Lawn (with a moderate
incline).
Another
option is to park at Scott Stadium or University
Hall and take a bus to the Lawn. |
Lambeth
Field Diploma Ceremony Parking |
Persons
attending a diploma ceremony at Lambeth Field are
encouraged to park at University Hall, in the Lambeth
parking lot, or in the Emmet/Ivy parking garage.
Bus service will not be available for either
the Lambeth parking lot or the Emmet/Ivy parking
garage, but it is only a 10 minute walk to the Lawn.
Following
the diploma ceremony, if you prefer to ride a
bus to University Hall rather than walk, return
to the University Chapel where the buses
will load. |

Grounds
Diploma Ceremonies Parking |
Persons
attending diploma ceremonies on North Grounds (Darden
School, Law School, and North Grounds Recreation Center)
may park at University Hall/John Paul Jones Arena and
take a bus to the Lawn (buses will load/unload
at the west entrance of University Hall).
Following the Lawn ceremony, buses to North
Grounds (and University Hall) will load near the University
Chapel.

Grounds Diploma Ceremonies Parking |
Persons
attending diploma ceremonies on West Grounds (Aquatic
& Fitness Center, Chemistry Building, Gilmer Hall,
Kent House Lawn, Physics Building, and
Thornton Hall) are encouraged to park at Scott Stadium
and take a bus to the Lawn. Following the Lawn
ceremony, buses to West Grounds will load near
the University Chapel.
Following
diploma ceremonies on West Grounds, the buses
to Scott Stadium and University Hall will load in
front of the McCormick Road Residence Area (across
the street from the Chemistry Building).

Tips: Following
these walking tips may be very helpful for getting
around Grounds from the parking locations below, in
particular if the weather is pleasant during Finals
Weekend.

No
bus service is available from this parking
garage. Using University Avenue it is only a 10 minute
walk (moderate incline) to the Lawn or to diploma
ceremonies on Central Grounds. |

McCormick Road, it is only a short walk to the Lawn
(with a moderate incline) or to diploma ceremonies
on West Grounds (Aquatic & Fitness Center, Chemistry

Using
the Goodwin
Pedestrian Bridge (across
Emmet Street) and the U.Va. Grounds Walk, it is approximately
a 10-15 minute walk to Central Grounds (with a moderate
incline). |
