Media Studies Minor
The Media Studies Program offers an Undergraduate Minor for students who wish to take 16 credits or more in Media Studies and add this field of study to their official curriculum.
In order to declare a minor, you must visit the Media Studies Office in 224 Wilson Hall to obtain the form. MDST 2000 and MDST 2010 are recommended to be completed prior to declaring.
Note: Students wishing to minor in Media Studies must complete a total of 6 courses, or 18 credits. Students pursuing a minor in Media Studies are not permitted to take MDST 3000, 4000, 3800, 4960, 4970, or 4980. Those courses are restricted to majors. Unlike the Media Studies major, the minor does not require an application process. Any student who has successfully completed MDST 2000 and 2010 may declare a Media Studies minor. All courses for the minor must be passed with a grade of C or higher.
