Undergraduate AdmissionsAdmission to the Media Studies Major is a completely separate process that takes place once you have been accepted to the University.
Transfer Students Entering as 3rd Years or Juniors for the Fall Semester
The University Admissions office typically sends letters of acceptance around May 1st. Once you have been accepted to the University in the Spring semester for fall admission, you may submit the Media Studies Major Transfer Student Application to the Media Studies Office, Room 401 New Cabell Hall. Since the deadline for University Admission is usually around March 1st, we typically hold a few slots for transfer students each spring semester when we admit new students to the major. The application to the Media Studies Program for transfer students is due to the Media Studies Office by May 15, or two weeks after University admissions letters are mailed.
Transfer Students Entering as 2nd year students for Fall Semester
If you are applying to the University for Spring Admission, you should wait until the Spring Semester of your 2nd year (sophomore year) to submit your application to the Media Studies Program: you will enter the Program as a 3rd year student. You then would not be considered a Transfer Student, rather, an enrolled student, and you should complete the application process as an already enrolled student during that spring semester.
