Welcome to MESALC
In the twenty-first century knowledge and understanding of the languages spoken in the Middle East and South Asia will become increasingly important for people in any profession or field of endeavor. The Department of Middle Eastern and South Asian Languages and Cultures offers classes in the following languages: Arabic, Bengali, Hebrew, Hindi, Persian, Sanskrit, and Urdu.
