My current interests are in Christian-Islamic relations, with a particular emphasis on religious and historical studies.  I am currently finishing my MA in pursuit of a PhD. program to study the concepts of atonement in Christianity and Islam.  I also write a blog which is in need of updating, but contains short essays on both historical and religious topics that relate to the Middle East and Christian-Islamic relations.  http://alexmassad.wordpress.com

I am working on my studies in order to prepare myself for a PhD. degree at UVa. or at another institution.  My long term goal is to teach Christianity and Islam at the university level.
