Erickon Lab and the Science and Art Project @ UVa

The Charlottesville community and the University of Virginia have created a new initiative to foster collaboration between artists and scientists. Please check out the Science & Art Project university website for more information: http://www.virginia.edu/sciartproject/"

Our lab is specifically collaborating with artists Murray Whitehill and Cynthia Harrison to produce a traveling exhibit with the working title of "The Art and Craft of Science". The goal of this project is to make scientific research more accessible to the general public. Possible venues include science museums, schools, national conferences of organizations and foundations that focus on biomedical research. The exhibit will combine photography that communicates "hands at work" in the laboratory with quilts/wall hangings that portray microscopic images of our research.
