Interfaith Worship Service

A collaboration of area faith communities and the University

Date:Sunday, January 29, 2012
Location:The Jefferson Theater, Downtown Mall
Time: 2 p.m.

All are welcome to join together and celebrate the inspiration of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s legacy and our community’s entreaty for a future of blessing, generosity, and harmony among us all.

Members of the Albemarle, Charlottesville and University communities will lead us in an uplifting service with readings of Dr. King's writings, reflections, as well as music offered by Matthew Burtner, members of the Free Bridge Quintet, and Mt. Zion First African Baptist Church’s choir, among others.

Blessings will be offered from the following faith traditions: Baha’i, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, and Monacan.

Please join us for this bountiful service!
