This year's featured speaker as part of the Health System's MLK Day events is Derrick P. Alridge, Professor of History Education in the Social Foundations of Education Program at the University of Virginia's Curry School of Education.

- Nancy E. Dunlap, James Carroll Flippin Professor of Medical Science and Dean, University of Virginia School of Medicine
