Oratory contest in celebration of the life of Martin Luther King Jr.

Charlottesville High School students participate in an oratory competition, hosted in the Dome Room of the University of Virginia's historic Rotunda.

Finalists will present their 750-1000 word, 5 minute original speeches answering the question, "How can the Charlottesville community do better to overcome the separate paths and unequal prospects of its students?"

Judges will weigh the content and deliveryof each speech.

Semi-finals will be held at Charlottesville High School on Thursday, January 13, 2011, at 7 p.m.
