As soon as you are admitted, all international students should check in with the International Student Office and read their welcome guide. Questions about the Financial Guarantee Form as well all I-20 related questions should be directed there.

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering strongly supports all University efforts to provide a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
Students are encouraged to educate themselves about efforts to increase personal safety and each other, as well as make use of opportunities to participate in efforts such as Not on Our Grounds, Green Dot and #HOOSGotYourBack. Additionally, all students are required to complete the University’s training on alcohol safety and on sexual misconduct.
Prior to doing any work in a department lab space, all students are required to complete the Responsible Conduct of Research Course at CITI. The following short instructions may be helpful completing the CITI training.
Additionally, all students need to complete annual training in Safe Chemical Handling for persons who handle chemicals, but do not work with radioactive materials.
