  • 12/2017 – Adam Thompson, Zach Harris, and Prof. Burns' paper submission to the 12th International Fatigue Congress in Poltiers, France entitled "Characterization of the effects of high altitude environments on dislocation structure evolution during fatigue loading of 7075-T651," is accepted for inclusion in the conference as a presentation.   • 9/2016 – Noelle Co presented a poster on the effect of galvanically induced corrosion morphologies on fatigue cracking of AA7050-T7451 at the International Conference on Fatigue Damage of Structural Materials XI. Her poster was recognized as the top poster in the Environmental Cracking session! Congrats Noelle!!

  • 9/2016 – Mick McMurtrey and Prof. Burns' paper on fracture mechanics modelling of constant and variable amplitude fatigue behaviour of field corroded 7075-T6511 aluminium is accepted for publication in Fatigue and Fracture of Engineering Materials and Structures!

  • 11/2015 – New computers and a in-situ furnace are installed in the lab to complete the final round of upgrades!

  • 11/2015 – Noelle Co presented a poster at the DoD-Allied Nations Technical Corrosion Conference titled "Galvanic Corrosion Induced Fatigue Crack Initiation and Propagation Behavior in AA 7050-T7451." She won 2nd place in the Milton Levy Category for the field of Corrosion Science! Congratulations Noelle!!
