Affiliation

The Music Department has created an application process by which CIOs whose intent is musical performance can become affiliated with the department, for the purpose of requesting rehearsal space. Groups may also apply for the second tier of affiliation ("publicized" status), which grants them additional privileges and responsibilities. Only the most musically proficient groups will receive publicized status. Please see the following documents for information about the affiliation process:

Please review this information, and if you have any questions please contact the Chair Assistant and Academic Program Coordinator, Haley Hiatt, at haley_hiatt@virginia.edu or 434-924-1435. To be considered as an affiliated group at either level for next year, please return the application with all required materials by Monday, July 30, 2007. Groups will be notified of their status by August 15, 2007.

Please note that groups applying for a renewal of their status need not submit duplicate materials. If your group would like a list of materials already on file with the Music Department, please contact the Chair Assistant and Academic Program Coordinator.
