UVA Wind Ensemble Spring Concert
Sunday, April 30th, 3:30pm - Old Cabell Hall
The University of Virginia will be performing its Spring Concert on Sunday, April 30. The program includes
excerpts from Gilbert and Sullivan's Pineapple Poll, Highlights from the Sound of Music, Blue Shades by Frank
Ticheli, and Dance of the Jesters by Tchaikovsky. The program will also feature UVA student euphonium soloist,
Andrew Menatti. Mr. Menatti, a second year at UVA, and will be performing Robert W. Smith's Willson Suite, a
modern virtuosic solo with band accompaniment. Also highlighted in this program will be the newly formed UVA
student saxophone ensemble with members, Anthony Robertson, Larkin Hamrick, David Rhodenbaugh, Clare van
Montfrans, Ryan Martin, Kearby Chen and Dereth Bush.
The UVA Wind Ensemble Spring Concert is sure to be an enjoyable afternoon for persons of all ages. Tickets for
the performance may be reserved by calling the Cabell Hall Box Office at (434) 924-3984. Tickets are $10 for
adults, $5 for students and 5 ARTS$ for UVA students. The Box Office is open weekdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and
on concert weekends two hours prior to the performance.
