Oboe Master Class with Dr. Mark Ostoich

Dr. Mark Ostoich is Associate Professor of Oboe at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music. Director of Winds of the Music Festival and Opera Theatre of Lucca, and on the staff of the Grandin Festival. Additionally, he is an active soloist and clinician. He has performed with the Cleveland Orchestra, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, New Orleans Ballet, and Louisiana Philharmonic. Dr. Ostoich was formerly Associate Professor of Oboe at Louisiana State University from 1986-96 and at the University of Florida from 1974-86. He was principal oboist of the Santa Fe Opera, Jacksonville Symphony, and Baton Rouge Symphony. For fourteen seasons he served as artist-faculty of the Sewanee Summer Music Festival and the International Chamber Music Festival in Taos, New Mexico. Dr. Ostoich was a student of E. Earnest Harrison at Louisiana State University. He was co-host of the 1990 Conference of the International Double Reed Society.
