Free Bridge Quintet Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Cabell Hall Concert

The Free Bridge Quintet, the official faculty jazz combo of the University of Virginia's McIntire Department of Music will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its founding by performing a concert at Old Cabell Hall on Saturday, February 16th at 8:00PM. The group has performed semi-annual concerts at Old Cabell Hall for the past decade, and has been deeply involved with the music program at UVA, as well as acting as ambassadors for the department and jazz by holding workshops and performing at Virginia schools.
The members include John D'earth, Jeff Decker, Pete Spaar, Robert Jospe, and Bob Hallahan. Besides performing together as the Free Bridge Quintet, the members have been professionally associated with each other for almost twenty years. The evening promises to be a dynamic evening of jazz, featuring debuts of original pieces as well as favorites from concerts past.
General admission tickets are $15, and $8 for students and 5ARTS$ for UVA Students. Tickets can be reserved by calling the McIntire Department of Music Box Office at 924-3984.
