We process ticket orders over the phone with Mastercard and Visa, and in person. There is a $1 service charge for all orders by phone. If the sale is processed more than one week prior to the event, the tickets will be mailed to you. Within a week of the event, your tickets will be put in Will Call.

UVA student's Arts Dollars

Each University of Virginia student has an account of limited Arts Dollars which he or she may use for certain ticketed events. To know which Old Cabell Hall events you may use arts dollars for, see the prices on our calendar page and look for 'arts dollars' as an option.

OUR POLICY

All ticket orders must be accompanied by payment. Hall policy prohibits refunds or exchanges on all tickets. All sales are final. If you are unable to attend a performance, you may donate your tickets to the Hall for resale. The value of the returned ticket(s) may be eligible for a charitable contribution income tax deduction. Tickets must be returned to the Box Office 24 hours in advance of the performance in order to be eligible for this deduction.

LATECOMER POLICY

Latecomer policy varies with each event. We advise that you arrive at least forty five minutes before a performance if you need to purchase tickets or pick up tickets from Will Call, and at least a half an hour prior if you already have tickets. Doors open a half hour before concert start time. In most instances, our doors are shut at the start of the performance and will not be reopened until the first piece has finished. At this time, you will only be allowed into the balcony, even if your seats are on the main level. In some instances, you will not be admitted to the Hall until intermission. Therefore, we recommend that you arrive on time, allowing extra time to park and reach Old Cabell Hall from the parking lot.

Please note, no food, drinks, cameras, or other recording devices are allowed in the Concert Hall. Smoking is prohibited everywhere in the building. As a courtesy to artists and other patrons, please turn off your beepers and cell phones before entering the auditorium. If you need to be reached in case of emergecy, please leave your beeper and seat location with a house manager.

Parking

PARKING FOR TICKETS

Cabell Hall Box Office offers two temporary parking spaces (15 minutes) for the purchase of tickets. Due to the location of Old Cabell Hall on Thomas Jefferson's historic Lawn, these are the closest parking spaces to the Hall. From University Ave/Main St. turn onto McCormick Rd. About 1 block down, you will see slice gates in front of you (closed from 9am-5pm during the week). Just before you reach these gates, there is a sign reading "Garrett Hall" on your left. Turn 90 degrees to your left just before this sign and follow the narrow alley to the end. Here you will see a sign for Cabell Hall Box Office Parking. Park and proceed down to Old Cabell Hall at the south end of the Lawn.

PARKING FOR EVENTS

As we prepare for another spectacular season of events in Old Cabell Hall, we need to let you know about changes in parking. The large B-1 lot on Jefferson Park Avenue has been closed to make way for the University's South Lawn Project. As a result, parking for Old Cabell Hall events is shifting to the following locations on our parking page.

HANDICAP PARKING & HALL ENTRANCE

Access to the Hall

Old Cabell Hall has handicapped access from the Lawn via a ramp into the west entrance of the lobby and from the C1 lot via an elevator.
For lobby entrance, proceed to the right and take an immediate left, which leads to the Handicap Box in the Concert Hall.
Alternatively, entering from the C1 parking lot, come up from the lot behind Bryan Hall. Follow the blue handicap signs into New Cabell Hall, up the ramp or the wheelchair lift, across the hall and through the door to the courtyard. From the courtyard, take the ramp to the end, enter the door on the left, and take the elevator up to the 6th floor.

Tickets

Tickets are available for handicapped patrons in the Handicapped Box. Availability and price vary by show, although generally they are the same price as loge tickets. We can sell Handicapped Box tickets to non-handicapped patrons if they wish to sit with a handicapped person. However, please be aware that if the box fills up, the non-handicapped patrons will be asked to move to other seats.

Parking

We recommend that handicap patrons park at least an hour before the start of the concert to allow for time to find their way to the Hall, pickup their tickets in Will Call if need be (on floor 6), and find their seats in the handicapped box. Parking is available for Handicapped Patrons in the C1 lot behind Bryan Hall. See our parking page for information on directions and parking permits for the C1 lot.
