Applications to graduate programs at the University of Virginia may be found on-line at http://www.virginia.edu/artsandsciences/admissions.html. The University requires all applicants to submit Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores, and international applicants to submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

Supplementary materials: Applicants to the program in Critical and Comparative studies must submit two samples of their scholarly writing. Applicants to the program in Composition must submit a portfolio of representative work. Please mail these items only directly to:
