On Sunday, 27 April, at 3:30 p.m. in Old Cabell Hall auditorium the Early Music Ensemble will present a concert featuring music of the Baroque era, including vocal music by Johann Hermann Schein, chamber and orchestral music by Georg Philipp Telemann, and an orchestral Sinfonia by Tomaso Albinoni (not the famed but spurious Adagio for Organ!). Featured soloists will include recorder player Marilyn Moedinger for Telemann’s Concert Suite in F and bass Richard Block singing Schein’s Herr nun läßt du deinen Diener from Opella nova II. All of the performances will be done on period instruments.
