The
Virginia Center for Computer Music (VCCM) serves faculty, graduate
students, and undergraduate students at the University of Virginia.
Founded in 1988 by Professor Shatin, the VCCM is located in historic
Old Cabell Hall, on the Lawn at the University of Virginia, directly
opposite the Rotunda.
The
VCCM offers an exceptionally wide range of musical possibilities.
Our facilities provide an impressive assortment of music software
and a rich development environment. The VCCM is one of a very few
music centers where software developed in-house may be used for
compositional work.
