Working with many constituents across Grounds, ODOS Business Services and Operations supports an environment of inspiration, learning, and enrichment for the UVA community through an array of exemplary support services. We accomplish our mission by providing clean and safe facilities, a dynamic student employment experience, support for diverse student activities, and excellent customer service.
Founded in 2001 by an initiative of the Board of Visitors to strengthen and support student self-governance and leadership on the individual chapter and governing council levels, the mission of Fraternity & Sorority Life is to enable our students to shape organizations that promote the principles of scholarship, leadership, diversity, service and honor. Our office team serves as the University liaison to alumnae, alumni and chapter headquarters’ staff.
Our services include strategic marketing & creative expertise in branding, advertising, print & electronic media, web development, wayfinding/signage, and social media. Our professional staff produces creative, consistent, and highly professional solutions to fit communication & media needs.
Located in Newcomb Hall, Student Activities is a center of activity and community on Grounds. The unit includes the Student Activities Center (SAC), the Media Activities Center (MAC), and the Programs & Councils (PAC) spaces. Student Activities empowers, supports, and challenges students & organizations as they create transformative experiences & relationships that enhance and enrich the University community.
Technology and AV Services is an internal IT team responsible for managing and maintaining day-to-day operations of the IT and AV infrastructure, which is responsible for ensuring the smooth and effective running of the IT and AV components for the Office of the Dean of Students.
