What will you find in the Scope?

A Programming Venue
The Scope is a versatile, lively, and intimate space designed for programs varying in size from 6 to 64, which includes a state-of-the-art, 61" plasma screen for viewing films and DVDs providing a window to the world. It is a perfect place for interactive programs and small performances as well as a speaker with discussion, a place that encourages co-sponsorships by groups not often associated with each other, and an environment that suggests we probe beyond the superficial to improve our grasp of challenging issues, to deepen our understanding, and to feel safe asking "why?"

A Lounge
The Scope is a comfortable setting to read, study, and gather informally. You will find a small conference table for impromptu meetings, large chairs to relax in, a place for quiet reflection, and a place for fun.

A Resource Center
The Scope is a place for learning more about differences and commonalities. Diversity themes are explored through creative and artistic exhibits. A small library of periodicals, books, publications, alendar of upcoming events, and guests from within and outside the University are invited to share their expertise are included in the scope.
