Our Vision We aspire to be the comprehensive resource of choice for student involvement.
Based out of the Student Activities Center in Newcomb Hall, the Leadership Consulting Program is an innovative peer leadership initiative of the Office of the Dean of Students. A small team of student leaders are recruited for exhibiting strong leadership and interpersonal skills and knowledge of student organizations at the University of Virginia. Leadership Consultants undergo intensive training on student organization processes, organizational behavior, and strategic consulting to help them serve as a resource to student leaders and students interested in getting involved at U.Va.
Our Mission
We offer support and guidance to organizations and student leaders within the University community to enable them to realize their goals and achieve their definition of success.
We will accomplish this by:
Developing our individual and collective leadership competencies and institutional knowledge;
Listening to our customers and constantly assessing their needs and interests;
Offering consulting services to student leaders and student groups to support their efforts to develop productive organizations;
Providing information, access to resources, and referrals to students and student leaders;
Facilitating relationships across Grounds and fostering a sense of community.
