Renewing Your CIO

Introduction
The Student Activities Center in Newcomb Hall would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you all on your many successful endeavors over the past year. The spring semester marks a period of officer transition for many of your organizations. As is such, please remember that all student organizations are responsible for renewing their CIO status at the end of each year. Below you will find instructions for completing this renewal process. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact a Leadership Consultant in the Student Activities Center (924-4164 or on AIM with 'ConsultTheSAC').



Deadline
The deadline for CIO Renewal is TUESDAY, APRIL 29th by 12 MIDNIGHT. CIOs who submit their renewal information by this date will be guaranteed access to the resources of the Student Activities Center prior to the Fall Activities Fair at the start of the upcoming semester. CIOs failing to provide renewal information by this deadline must wait until August to complete the process.



Steps for Renewal
1. Complete a Presidency Transfer:
a) Old president should log into www.info.student.virginia.edu
b) Click on the 'Status' icon
c) Click on the 'Presidency Transfer' button
d) Old AND new president must enter authentication information
e) After transfer is complete, old president logs out


2. Submit your CIO Renewal Information:
a) The 2008-2009 president logs into www.info.student.virginia.edu
b) Click on the 'Status' icon
c) Click on the 'Renew Status' button
d) Follow the on-screen instructions
e) When you have submitted all required information, you will be instructed to either
i. Wait for further instruction via email (your CIO requires re-approval)
OR
ii. Click on the 'Print' icon to access, print, and sign your 2008-2009 CIO Agreement*
* Completed Agreements should be submitted to
Student Council on the 3rd floor of Newcomb Hall
or messenger mailed to Student Council at PO Box 400705.
