How to Reserve Space for Spring 2012 Meetings and Events

Newcomb Spaces: Newcomb Event Planning is currently scheduling events in these spaces for Spring 2012: Newcomb Hall rooms, UVa Chapel, Ern Commons, Forum at O’Hill, Lambeth Commons and Conference Room, Runk Green Room , and Student Activities Building (SAB). If interested in these spaces, we recommend that you submit a request via the SOURCE as soon as possible.

Academic Space
Single requests only (except weekends) until February 13th

Academic Spaces - Weekends: Beginning January 1, 2012, any academic space request for events occurring on weekends (Fridays after 5pm, 8am-11pm Sat-Sun) can be submitted. 

Academic Spaces Mon-Thurs after 6 PM: Between January 18 and February 20, single date requests for academic space Mon-Thurs can be submitted.  We expect to be able to confirm these requests at least 48 hours in advance of the requested event date. 

Academic Spaces - weekly meetings: On February 13, we will begin accepting requests for weekly meetings or a single meeting to begin on or after February 20 through the last day of class. 

If….

You are requesting space in Newcomb Hall, UVa Chapel, Ern Commons,  Forum at O’Hill,  Lambeth Commons,  Runk Green Room, or SAB

You are requesting academic space for an event after 5pm on a  Friday, or 8AM-11PM Sat-Sun

You are requesting academic space after 6PM Mon-Thurs between January 18 and February 20th

You are requesting academic space
after February 20th

then…

Submit your request on the SOURCE as soon as possible.

Submit your request on the SOURCE on or after January 1st for any date during the semester. This request can be for one single event or for a series of events throughout the semester.

Submit a single date request on the SOURCE on or after January 1st  and it should be processed and confirmed at least 48 hours before your requested event time. Single requests only until February 13th

Submit a series request or a single request on the SOURCE on or after February 13th.

If requests are submitted before the dates listed in the above chart, we will cancel the request and ask you to resubmit on either January 1st or February 13th.
