Reserve Space
To view availability of or specific details about spaces in Newcomb or to view the calendar of events for Newcomb, please visit the SOURCE. The SOURCE is the University's scheduling and calendar site. Requesting a room or equipment online does not guarantee availability, but requests will be processed by Newcomb in 2—3 business days. Once a request has been processed, assigned spaces will be indicated as unavailable online. An Event Confirmation form issued by the Newcomb Event Planning Office serves as the reservation contract.
The Event Planning
Office is located on the fourth floor of Newcomb, Room 436. Event
Planners are available to help you successfully plan and carry out
your events, large or small. Reservations may be made in person from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday or 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via the SOURCE. Please note that all users agree to abide by University policies
as outlined in the Undergraduate
Record. Student Activity Building policies and procedures are available
upon request.

Information regarding the Gardens.
When you are ready to make your reservation, please be prepared to discuss the following:
- Event type (meeting, lecture, dinner, lunch, dance, etc.)
- Number of people in attendance: try to be as specific and accurate as possible. A large room with just a few people in it may detract from an otherwise successful event.
- Date and time of event
- Equipment needs (stage, tables, chairs, microphone, lectern, TV/VCR)
- Your account number or other billing information for charges that may be incurred (for equipment rental, room rental, labor, etc.)
- Do you need rehearsal time? Extra setup/breakdown time? Sound check?
- Security needs. Depending upon the type and size of your event, security may be required at the cost of the sponsor.
The SOURCE provides capacities, policies, fees, equipment availability, and other resources, including photos, for reservable meeting and event venues on Grounds. A webuser account is required to submit requests, but may be created by following instructions on the site's My Requests page.
