Lounges
- The Main Lounge
- The Main Lounge, with its formal Jeffersonian decor, lofty ceiling, and traditional furnishings, offers a great atmosphere for meeting a friend, spending a quiet study hour, or even catching a quick nap. The Main Lounge is located on the third floor.
- Game Room
- The Newcomb Hall Game Room is your place to hang out with friends; relax; play billiards, ping pong, and foosball; watch your favorite shows on the 50 inch Plasma Screen TV; and have a cup of Starbuck's coffee or a Coke. Games are $3/hour or 5 cents a minute regularly and Thursdays are $1.20/hour or 2 cents a minute. Cavalier Advantage is accepted. Student organizations can rent the Game Room for their social events.
- Kaleidoscope: Center for Cultural Fluency
- A place for gathering, programs, reflection, and debate, the Kaleidoscope provides opportunities for University of Virginia community members to learn, examine, and discuss differences and commonalities as a means of deepening our understanding and appreciation for each unique individual. Collaborative programming, Scope-sponsored events, and casual Lounge Nites provide a common ground from which to discuss and debate social, political, and economic foundations of cultural realities and how they shape perspectives and experiences both at the University and within the broader society.
