Birthday Ball
Annually, on November 10, Marines across the globe celebrate the birthday of the Corps with a birthday ball.
The UVA NROTC Battalion and Marine Platoon plan and execute the regional ball which brings together Midshipmen, current, former, and retired Marines to celebrate. There is a traditional ceremony, put on by the Marine Platoon, which includes a sword detail, the cutting of the cake by the oldest and youngest Marines, a speech from prestigious Guests of Honor, and the reading of the Commandant’s birthday address.
The ball is a great chance for our past, present, and next generation to come together to celebrate our great United States Marine Corps
