Have a problem? Need help?
Brad Holland is the University of Virginia Ombudsman and an advocate for fairness. The University Ombudsman is an independent, confidential resource available to assist faculty, staff, and students in resolving problems, complaints, conflicts, and other issues when normal processes and procedures have not worked satisfactorily.
The services of the Ombudsman are independent of the University administration and confidential to the extent permitted by law. You should not consider anything that you say to the Ombudsman as notice to the University or expect the Ombudsman to take part in any formal processes, grievances or hearings. However, the Ombudsman is a Responsible Employee as defined in Policy HRM-040: Reporting by University Employees of Sexual Misconduct Disclosures Made by Students.
