Welcome! We are thrilled to welcome you to the University of Virginia.

Transitioning to college is a process! For Summer 2024, new students can expect to hear from us in the spring about Summer Orientation, Wahoo Welcome, and opportunities to get connected to the UVA community! All of our programs help students to develop a sense of their personal goals, make connections with peers, faculty and staff, and build a sense of community and context, which will lay a foundation for their time at UVA. We support both academic and social transitions to the University. Don't worry parents and families! We'll have information for you too! 

New Graduate Students can access a wealth of information about getting settled in Charlottesville with the Grad Guide. Each school, department, and program has its own set of welcome and orientation activities for new graduate students.
