Items to Bring to Summer Orientation

Academic Information
Advanced Placement, IB test scores (and other relevant test scores if you have them; do not be concerned if you do not receive them in time for your session)
For first years, a high school transcript/grade reports if possible (a photocopy will be fine)
For transfer students, a VISTAA form (VISTAA forms can be accessed at www.virginia.edu/registrar/vistaa.html)
 
Personal Items
Unexpired state or government issued picture identification card (U.S. driver’s license, passport or U.S. military ID)
Paper, pens, and pencils for note- and test-taking
Casual, weather-appropriate, comfortable clothing (you may want to pack a swearshirt, jeans, a raincoat, and umbrella, as the weather can be unpredictable)
Walking shoes
Athletic clothes, running shoes, swimsuit (for hot tub/pool), etc., if desired
Blanket (Hereford College is air conditioned)
Towels, washcloth (Conference Services will provide a packet of linens)
Personal toiletries
Alarm clock
Money for snacks or spur-of-the-moment purchases
Members of the 2007 Orientation Leader team

REMINDER: Check In will be held at the Student Activities Building (SAB) from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. on Day One for all sessions EXCEPT G, H, and L. If you are planning to take the German, Latin or Russian placement exam, please arrive by no later than 8:00 a.m. Individual student schedules will vary on Day Two of each orientation session. Because students may have assigned course registration times in the afternoon, please do not arrange your time of departure from the University Grounds prior to 5:00 p.m. Course registration times cannot be changed.

Check In for Sessions G and H (transfer sessions) will be held at the Student Activities Building (SAB) from 7:30 until 8:30 a.m. Check Out will take place from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. on each of those days.
