Parking Information for Summer Orientation

Short-term parking will be available at the AFC for the Check-In period ONLY. Upon checking in, you will receive a list of available lots where you may park during the remainder of Session L. Parking in these designated areas will be complementary.

Parents and guests are invited to attend a private after-hours tour of Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson, at the end of Day One of their Summer Orientation session.

Special Information for Session L

Students who attend Session L have the privilege of moving into their on-Grounds housing when they arrive for Check-in. (Please note that the Housing Division cannot accommodate early arrivals). After you check in, you will have the evening to yourself so that you may set up your room and familiarize yourself with the University area.

International students attending Session L of orientation may take advantage of free transportation from Dulles Airport in Washington, DC, to the University of Virginia on Tuesday, August 19, and Wednesday, August 20.
