The following schedules for summer 2012 will provide you with a general outline of what is covered in your Orientation program.
Session H Parent/Guest · Wednesday, August 22
Check the Parents section of the website for information on evening activities in the Charlottesville area.

3:00 pm – 4:30 pm -
Check-In · Aquatic & Fitness Center
Pick up Orientation materials while your student signs in and has his/her ID photo taken.
Following Check-In, help your student move directly into his/her assigned housing.
UVAExpress. International students and guests participating in Session H can take advantage of UVAExpress, a free, coordinated bus transportation and hospitality program for international students from Dulles International Airport in Washington, DC and Charlottesville Airport to the University of Virginia on Monday, August 20 and Tuesday August 21, 2012 Make sure to register on the UVAExpress website.
The program is coordinated by the University of Virginia's Office of Engagement. It is financially supported by an U.Va. alumnus in Singapore and the U.Va. Parents Committee.

Welcome Dinner for International Students and Parents · Alumni Hall Ballroom
International first-year and transfer students and their families are invited to a casual dinner at Alumni Hall. Hosted by the University’s Office of Engagement, guests will have the opportunity to meet current students and ask questions of University faculty and staff while enjoying a relaxing evening with fellow classmates and their parents. Please consider public transportation, walking or a taxi. Limited parking is available.
