UTS Lost and Found Policy Any University identification badge left on a UTS bus will be returned to the University ID Office in accordance with the ID Office’s policy. The University ID Office is located in the lower level of the Observatory Hill Dining Hall, on the corner of Alderman Road and McCormick Road. Their hours of operation are 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday, and may be contacted at 434-924-4508. UTS is not responsible for notifying faculty, staff or students of lost ID’s. Any item which is left on a University bus will be turned into the lost and found at the UTS office at the earliest opportunity. If you believe you have left an item on a UTS bus you may check with our office in person at 1101 Millmont Street between 8:00am and 5:30pm (Monday-Friday). Please check the service schedule for holiday closings. No inquiries will be answered over the phone about lost items, nor will any UTS driver be questioned over the radio about a lost item. This policy is to protect the security of lost items. Items left on University buses or in University bus stops are NOT the responsibility of University Transit Service, Parking and Transportation, or the University of Virginia.BACK to
