Parking for Visitors with Disabilities

General Visitors

Accessible parking spaces are reserved for those possessing valid Disabled Parking Placards or license plates (provided by the Department of Motor Vehicles or the University of Virginia). Any use of the accessible spaces without the proper placard or license plate is prohibited, and may lead to ticketing and towing. Individuals displaying a valid placard or license plate may use U.Va meters free of charge or park on Grounds in spaces marked for "service vehicles" found in many University lots. General use accessible spaces are clearly posted, and are located throughout University Grounds. Designated accessible spaces are posted throughout each U.Va parking garage, but the user is expected to pay the normal hourly fee (view rates). Download the Accessibility Map - Adobe Required
