The University of Virginia hosts several major events throughout the year. Since parking arrangements vary each year for these events, parking information for visitors and permit holders will be posted as they become available.

Move-In

Changes to UTS Route Service:
Due to Move-In traffic patterns, UTS will be implementing the following detour on Friday (August 19, 2011):
- Northline: From McCormick Road the Northline will turn left onto Alderman Road, detour left onto Whitehead Road, turn right onto Stadium Road, turn right onto Alderman Road, and turn right onto McCormick Road to continue regular route service. The Northline will not serve Hereford Drive during this detour.
- Alternate: If traffic conditions decline during the Move-In process, the Northline will follow an alternate detour to continue route service. While on McCormick Road the Northline will detour right onto the McCormick Road Ramp prior to reaching the McCormick Road Residence Halls. The Northline will merge onto Emmet Street, turn right onto Stadium Road, turn onto the Stadium Ramp into the Scott Stadium Parking Area, turn right onto George Welsh Way using Whitehead Road and Stadium Road to return to McCormick Road to resume regular route service towards the U.Va Chapel.
- Outer U-Loop: From McCormick Road the Outer U-Loop will turn left onto Alderman Road, turn left onto Whitehead Road, turn right onto George Welsh Way entering the Scott Stadium Parking Area, turn left down the Stadium Ramp, turn right onto Stadium Road and then turn left onto Maury Avenue to continue regular route service.
- Inner U-Loop: From the Piedmont Housing Area the Inner U-Loop will continue straight on Stadium Road, turn left onto the Stadium Ramp entering the Scott Stadium Parking Area, turn right onto George Welsh Way, turn left onto Whitehead Road, and then turn right onto Alderman Road.
- Alternate: If traffic conditions decline during the Move-In process, the U-Loop will use the McCormick Road Ramp to merge onto Emmet Street, turn turn onto Stadium Road, and then turn left onto George Welsh Way to continue the detour described above.
