Music/Drama Event Parking Information (Cabell Hall & Culbreth Theatre)

Cabell Hall Events

Parking for Tickets

Cabell Hall Box Office offers two temporary parking spaces (15 minutes) for the purchase of tickets. Due to the location of Old Cabell Hall on Thomas Jefferson's historic Lawn, these are the closest parking spaces to the Hall. From University Ave/Main St. turn onto McCormick Rd. About 1 block down, you will see slice gates in front of you (closed from 9am-5pm during the week). Just before you reach these gates, there is a sign reading "Garrett Hall" on your left. Turn 90 degrees to your left just before this sign and follow the narrow alley to the end. Here you will see a sign for Cabell Hall Box Office Parking. Park and proceed down to Old Cabell Hall at the south end of the Lawn.

Parking for Patrons with Disabilities

C1 Parking Lot

Located off McCormick Road behind Clark and Bryan Halls, the C1 parking lot is prioritized for disabled and limited mobility patrons and will require special permits for most events.

Old Cabell Hall also has access from the Lawn via a ramp into the west entrance of the lobby for patrons with disabilities. Once entering the lobby, proceed to the right through a double doorway and take an immediate left.

Alternatively, entering from the C-1 parking lot, come up from the lot behind Bryan Hall. Follow the blue signs into New Cabell Hall and up the ramp or the wheelchair lift. Cross the hallway and exit New Cabell through the door to the courtyard. From the courtyard, take the ramp to the end. Enter the door to Old Cabell Hall on the left and take the elevator up to the 6th floor.

It is recommended that patrons with disabilities park at least an hour before the start of the concert to allow time to find their way to the Hall, pick up their tickets in Will Call if need be (also on floor 6), and find their seats.

Impact on U.Va Permit Holders

C1 permit holders will be required to vacate the C1 lot to accommodate event parking for certain events at Old Cabell Hall. C1 permit holders may relocate to any other parking lot on grounds that is not considered an "all times" lot and is not reserved for another event. Please check the C1 Permit Holders information page for details and a schedule of applicable events.

At this time, event parking for Cabell Hall performances will not effect T4 or E3 permit holders.
