| The Health System Garage East is located in the heart of U.Va's Health System off of Lee Street. The East Garage is reserved primarily for patients, with overflow parking available at the 11th Street Garage. Patients may have their Garage Ticket validated at the time of their appointment or at the Information Desks located at the University Hospital, Primary Care Center, or West Complex. |
News and Updates
- 3/2/2009: The Pedestrian Connector Bridge between the 11th Street Garage and the Lee Street Garage is now open. The bridge links between Level C of the 11th Street Garage and Level D of the Lee Street Garage.
Access to the University Hospital
Patients parking in the Lee Street Garage may access the University Hospital from a lighted crosswalk on the ground level or through a pedestrian bridge on the second level of the garage. Please note that the pedestrian bridge on the second level is not open between the hours of 9:00am - 6:00am.
Directions to the Lee Street Garage
Utilize exit 118B off of Interstate 64. Take the US 29 Business exit and turn right at the end of the ramp onto Fontaine Avenue. Fontaine Avenue will become Jefferson Park Avenue. Bear right and then turn right onto Lee Street. The East and West Health System Garages will be on the left.
Oversized Vehicles: Vehicles over 6 feet 8 inches are too tall to fit in the parking garage. Pull into the circle in front of University Hospital and obtain a permit from a member of the Front Door Team in order to park in an alternate lot.
