Position Description: The Courier position at the University of Virginia's Department of Parking and Transportation is a multi-faceted position within the Department with responsibilities ranging from transport of funds to the dispatching of mail.

The primary duties of the courier are:

  • Retrieving and distributing change funds from the Central Grounds Garage
  • Daily changing the Pay-On-Foot Machines located at the 11th Street Garage
  • Collecting the money from the parking meters around campus
  • Going to the bank for the deposit and change run
  • Delivery of mail from our office to other departments
  • Delivery of validation tickets

The Mechanic position at the Department of Parking and Transportation provides for the preventative maintenance and effective repair of University of Virginia departmental vehicles. Perform general mechanical maintenance and repair activities on a wide variety of motorized equipment as well as construction equipment.
