Students Living On-Grounds

Students who live in On-Grounds housing may choose one of the following types of permits:

Storage Permits

Storage, or Commuter, Permits are the least expensive permit option for students living in on-grounds housing. Students who do not use their vehicle on a regular basis should consider this permit option.

The University Transit Service (UTS) provides students free bus service to virtually all locations on-grounds, and students may also ride any Charlottesville Transit Service (CTS) bus for free as long as they show their U.Va ID when boarding the bus. Please use our UTS Route Finder to find the route that best serves your needs.
