Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Training at UVa
Here’s your chance to get your Commercial Driver’s License here at UVa with University Transit Services. During the six week course you will be partnered with a UTS trainer to learn how to drive a bus. You will have 30 hours of behind the wheel lessons. At the end of the behind the wheel lessons you will go to the DMV with a trainer and a UTS bus to take your CDL exam. The course will be completed only if you pass the exam and receive a CDL from DMV. Training hours are flexible to your schedule but the program needs to be completed in a six week period. Each class is limited to one participant to ensure one-on-one training. Registration is due on the 1st of every month. Tuition ($1,800) may be paid by check, credit card, education benefit or by PTAO if your department is sponsoring you.
