offers American students the opportunity to study anthropology, history, literature, philosophy, theology and the Spanish language, or in any other area of study offered at the University of Virginia (except medicine and nursing) and to broaden their knowledge of Latin American culture, through class-room study and travel and by living with Peruvian families.

All credits earned through the program are accredited by the Universidad Catolica, are valid at the University of Virginia, and will be forwarded by the University of Virginia to other institutions of higher learning.

No knowledge of the Spanish Language is required in order to participate in the program.
