SUMMER
SESSION COST The estimated program fee is $4,950.00. The program fee will cover the following items:
The program fee does not include insurance, incidentals, the cost of acquiring a valid passport, airport taxes, or the cost of non-program excursions, extra-curricular activities or the optional excursion to Cusco, Machu Picchu, and either Madre de Dios or Puno and Arequipa. Though the Universidad Católica has a Student Health Service offering basic and emergency services, students are responsible for their health insurance coverage while abroad and in the program. Students are most strongly advised to inquire with their health insurance providers and to make sure that they are adequately covered while in Perú. Students are also strongly advised to obtain travel insurance covering them against loss of personal property while in Perú. The UVa Program in Perú Refund Policy and the University of Virginia International Program Emergency Cancellation Policy are available upon request. The total cost of the optional excursion to Cusco , Machu Picchu , and either Madre de Dios or Puno and Arequipa , including lodging, most meals, all tours and airfares is approximately $980.00, depending on airfares. Summer Session applicants please apply with all required documents (see the Application Procedure section below) by April 5, 2008 .
