Her research interests focus on citizen learning and accountability and how dominant practices and institutions serve to inhibit or encourage these. Her current book project casts presidential accountability as an ongoing process that begins with, and relies crucially on, the campaigns that precede a new administration. Her work has appeared in the Journal of Politics, Political Research Quarterly, and Political Behavior.
