Undergraduate Program

More than 500 students are currently seeking a degree in one of the two majors available in the Department: Government or Foreign Affairs. This large number means that introductory courses are large (200+ students). After these large courses, which are designed to give students an overview of a large, complex topic, students can choose from upper level courses and seminars which focus on a more specific area.

Most students who receive a degree in government and foreign affairs go immediately into the work force. An increasingly large percentage of students go on to graduate work, either in the discipline or in law schools around the country.
