Town Hall Meeting Announcement

Dear Colleague:

I am pleased to announce that the final report on the Academic Staff Survey results is nearly complete. Please join me for a town hall meeting in the South Lawn Nau Lecture Hall on June 24, at 10:00 a.m., to discuss the survey results. The meeting will feature a detailed presentation, followed by Q&A. Staff members from the Center for Survey Research will interpret the survey responses, including common themes, opportunities for improvement, and areas in which we are meeting or exceeding expectations.

I encourage managers to be flexible with work schedules to allow staff to attend. For staff who cannot come to the meeting, it will be streamed on the Web so that they can watch from their desks, as well as recorded as a podcast for later viewing.

The comprehensive survey results and more than 10,000 comments will be available on the University Human Resources Web site, along with the podcast, after the town hall meeting.

One of the primary reasons for undertaking this survey was to help me and my colleagues better understand the Academic Division as a workplace and the satisfaction level of its employees. I was encouraged by our staff's commitment to the University as expressed in the survey responses and comments. I share your pride in the University and your desire to address areas that need improvement. I look forward to hearing more from you on June 24 and thereafter as we celebrate our strengths, attend to our weaknesses, and keep moving the University forward.
