Statement of the Chairs of Departments and Directors of Programs in the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Virginia

The chairs of departments and directors of programs in the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Virginia reaffirm our call for the reinstatement of Teresa Sullivan as president of the University. We do so because this represents the best hope for the future for all members of the University community. It also holds out the possibility that the University of Virginia can emerge stronger from this moment of crisis and provide a national example of thoughtful response to the difficulties confronting American higher education.
